AW Alpha Mittens
Introduction
- Use a standard wash mode for your washing machine.
- Set on a low heat setting (maximum 60°C) for tumble dryers.
- If your product is shedding, a single wash can help reduce it.
- The fabric’s water-repellent properties can be restored by applying heat using a dryer or iron.
What you will need:
- Neutral detergent
- Dryer, hairdryer, or iron
How to wash

2. Use an appropriate amount of neutral detergent free from bleach, fabric softener, and fluorescent agents. Fabric softeners can coat the fibers and impair performance, while bleach may cause fading.

4. To prevent detergent stains or uneven washing, avoid pouring detergent directly onto the product. Instead, use the detergent dispenser or add it after the washing machine is filled with water.

3. You can wash it on a standard cycle. If the inside is dirty, turn it inside out before washing.
Tips: Spot cleaning
For particularly dirty areas, spot clean before washing. If stubborn stains or yellowing don’t come out with spot treatment or pre-wash detergent, consider using a professional stain removal service at a dry cleaner.

1. Fill a bucket with lukewarm water (around 40°C), add a suitable amount of neutral detergent, and stir until it forms a lather. Submerge the item and gently hand wash the stained areas.
Note: Do not scrub the seams as it can damage it.

2. If you have a pre-treatment (spot treatment) detergent, apply it directly to the stained areas and let it absorb before placing the item in the washing machine.
How to dry

1. Hang the mittens in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Turn it inside out to speed up the drying process.

2. If using a dryer, set it to a low heat cycle (maximum 60°C).
Water-Repellent Care
You can restore water-repellent performance by applying heat with an iron, hairdryer, or dryer. However, since the coating gradually wears off due to friction and repeated washing, if heat treatment no longer restores the repellency, consider using a commercial water-repellent spray for outdoor wear or opting for a professional water-repellent treatment at a dry cleaner.

1. If using a dryer, set it to a low heat cycle (maximum 60°C). To prevent damage
run the dryer with the item by itself.

2. If using a hairdryer, hold it about 15 cm away from the item and apply warm air evenly. Avoid bringing it too close or using high heat to prevent damage to the fabric.

3. You can iron the item without a pressing cloth if set to low heat. Be cautious, as high temperatures can cause the fabric to melt or discolor.
