Changes to the 2024 Model

– The X-frame’s carbon pole diameter has been increased from 3 mm to 3.5 mm, improving rigidity and making it easier to carry heavy loads.
– The bottom attachment loop has been standardized across the MINI, MINI2, and THREE models.
– The position of the brand name has been centered.

– Compression cord buckles and guyline components have been reduced in size.
– Compression cord thickness adjusted to 2 mm and gear loop to 2.5 mm.
– The side pocket pattern has been revised for easier bottle insertion.
– The hydration hose port has been removed.

– The sewing method of the shoulder strap adjustment tape has been revised to enhance durability, and the slack has been increased from level one to level two, making it compatible with various shoulder strap options from different manufacturers.
– The hip belt has been reinforced with a core and piping around the edges, improving durability and rigidity for easier carrying.
– The emergency whistle color has been changed to black.
– The material for the shoulder straps and back has been upgraded from 200D Oxford to 200D HT PC coated ripstop nylon.

– Adjustments have been made to the parts and patterns of the side pockets for easier access and operation while in motion, with slight relocation of the opening to the front to make it easier to reach.

Material

The ONE Custom Edition features unique fabrics developed by Yamatomichi, including 200D HT PC coated ripstop nylon and 70D HT PC coated ripstop nylon, with options for lightweight and highly durable TechnoForce® Steel, and waterproof X-Pac (for pockets and bottom), allowing for customizable material and color selections based on the application.

200D HT PC Coated Ripstop Nylon

AVAILABLE FOR: POCKETS

This 200 denier high-tenacity (HT) nylon, interwoven with ripstop threads, boasts excellent tear resistance for its weight. The fabric has a water-repellent coating on the surface and a polycarbonate (PC) coating on the back which is significantly resistant to hydrolysis, ensuring minimal degradation even after 10 years in “jungle tests.”

Technoforce® Steel

AVAILABLE FOR: POCKETS

The fabric made from 100% ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHPE) is exceptionally lightweight yet strong; light enough to float on water yet theoretically capable of supporting around 20 tons with just a 10 mm diameter. This high-density woven fabric offers world-class tear resistance, tensile strength, and abrasion resistance. Its hydrolysis-resistant PC coating on the back further enhances long-term durability, with “jungle tests” showing no significant changes after 10 years. UHPE does not retain water, preventing the fabric from becoming heavier when wet.

70D HT PC Coated Ripstop Nylon

AVAILABLE FOR: BODY/ROLL TOP, POCKETS

This 70 denier HT (high-tenacity) ripstop nylon fabric is our proprietary material with enhanced strength and durability compared with conventional nylon. The surface is DWR (durable water repellent) finished, and the backside is polycarbonate coated, achieving a much better anti-hydrolyzation performance than regular polyurethane-based fabrics. The results of the Tropical Test, aka Jungle Test, in which the fabrics are left in a machine with 95% humidity, temperatures at 70°C for ten weeks, showed that the new material will not significantly deteriorate for 10 years.

Material: 70 Denier High-tenacity Nylon
Coating: Polycarbonate coating, DWR
Weight: 106g/㎡

In-house test results*:

  • Tensile strength (JIS L1096A): 97kg (Vertical), 64kg (Horizontal)
  • Tear strength (JIS L 1096A): 7kg (Vertical), 4kg (Horizontal)
  • Water pressure resistance (JIS L1092B): 4079mm

*Variations may occur according to the actual production lot.

X-Pac VX07

AVAILABLE FOR: POCKETS

X-Pac VX07 is a multi-layer fabric comprised of 70 denier nylon on the surface, a water-resistant polyester film in the middle, and a 50 denier polyester taffeta and diamond-patterned black polyester X-Ply material at the back. It is highly durable and water-resistant with hydrostatic water-resistant structural technology.

X-Pac VX21 Soft

AVAILABLE FOR: POCKETS

This 210 denier HT (high-tenacity) ripstop nylon fabric is our proprietary material with DWR (durable water repellent) finished on the surface, while the backside is polycarbonate coated, achieving a much better anti-hydrolyzation performance than regular polyurethane-based fabrics.

Material: 210 denier nylon, Black polyester X-Ply, Polyester resin, 50 denier polyester
Coating: DWR
Weight: 188g/㎡

In-house test results*:

  • Tensile strength (JIS L1096A): 119kg (Vertical), 96kg (Horizontal)
  • Tear strength (JIS L1096A): 14kg (Vertical), 14kg (Horizontal)
  • Water pressure resistance (JIS L1092B): 6526mm

*Variations may occur according to the actual production lot.

X-Pac VX21

AVAILABLE FOR: BOTTOM

X-Pac VX21 is adopted for the bottom material of our standard backpacks. It is a multi-layer fabric composed of 210 denier nylon on the surface, a water-resistant polyester film in the middle, and a 50 denier polyester taffeta and diamond-patterned black polyester X-Ply material at the back. It is highly durable and water-resistant with hydrostatic water-resistant structural technology.

Material: 210 denier nylon, Black polyester X-Ply, Polyester film, 50 denier polyester
Coating: DWR
Weight: 203g/㎡

In-house test results*:

  • Tensile strength (JIS L1096A): 123kg (Vertical), 119kg (Horizontal)
  • Tear strength (JIS L1096A): 13kg (Vertical), 10kg (Horizontal)
  • Water pressure resistance (JIS L1092B): 50985mm or more

*Variations may occur according to the actual production lot.

Comparison of Weight and Tear Strength

In the diagram below, the higher the blue value, the heavier the fabric, while higher black values indicate greater strength.

Tear strength (the force required to tear the fabric) is represented by average values. The figures for Ultra 200, X-Pac VX07, and X-Pac VX21 are based on manufacturer’s data (ASTM D2261), while others are from in-house testing (JIS L1096A).

Size guide

We offer five sizes of torso lengths* and four sizes of hip belts. To define the size correctly, we recommend that you try on the product before purchase.

*The torso length refers to the length of the back bone, which we define as the length measured from the C7 vertebra to the hipbone.

TORSO LENGTH
45cm 48cm 51cm 54cm 57cm
HIP BELT(cm)
XS S M L
72-79 78-85 84-92 91-100

*The hip belt size is not your waist size. To define the hip belt size correctly, make sure you wrap your tape measure around your hipbone.
If you can’t decide between two sizes of the hip belt, we usually recommend the smaller size so that you can tighten it firmly.

How to Measure Your Torso

Decide your torso length based on the jutting, upper edge of the pelvic bone at each side of your hipbone.

  1. Find the jutting of each side of your hipbone, and align your pants’ waistband on the juttings. The level of the waistband is where the hipbone should be.
  2. Find the backbone and extend the tape measure from the waistband to the back of your neck.
  3. Slightly tilt your head forward to find the bump of your back neck (7th cervical vertebra, or 7C vertebra) and measure the distance from the waistband to the 7C vertebra.

*The length from the edge of the waistband to the 7C vertebra is defined as the torso length. To define the hip belt size correctly, make sure you wrap your tape measure around your hipbone.

Size Guidance

cm
Torso Length 45 48 51 54 57
Height 150-160 158-170 168-175 173-180 178-190

*The above should only be used as a rough guide. Please note that torso length may vary depending on your body shape. Wrap your tape measure around your hipbone. Your hip belt size cannot be determined by your weight and height.
