About Yamatomichi's Colors Choices

Akira Natsume, Yamatomichi Founder

At Yamatomichi, we create visual image maps by arranging nature, favorite artworks, movies, and other inspirations, and from there, we pick colors for each season’s palette.

Our 2025 colors are inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, who continuously depicted the desolate nature of New Mexico in his paintings. In addition to our standard colors, you’ll notice prominent shades such as Teal and Peppermint, as well as vibrant colors like Coral and Hibiscus.

Some may think these colors are a bit too bold, but don’t you find yourself amazed by the richness of colors when you immerse yourself in nature? The bright pinks, greens, and yellows created by lichens clinging to rocks and tree bark. Every time we encounter such astonishing colors, we are inspired to recreate them.
